Garage tool. Useful homemade products for the garage. Homemade machines for garage work

There will always be a need for useful garage gadgets. Veda in the garage should have everything for work and comfort. You can make your own accessories for the garage, then their price will be much lower.

This topic will be our article today. You won’t be able to do everything for the garage with your own hands, but you can do the most necessary things.

Garage space arrangement

You don’t just need to buy garage accessories, but first decide what you need and how to properly place it all. After all, very often the garage is not just a place where we park the car, but also a workshop with all kinds of tools (see), accessories.

And in fact, it turns out that sometimes there are so many things accumulated in the garage that you literally have to squeeze the car between them. To prevent this from happening, we suggest putting things in order in the garage, rationally using all the space, and maybe throwing out some of the unnecessary things.

Attention: First, let's decide on the devices and equipment that everyone should definitely have in the garage. You can also make accessories for your garage with your own hands, and if that doesn’t work out, you can buy them.

Lathe You can get by with a small one, with a few functions. You can’t make such a machine yourself, so you’ll have to contact the manufacturer. The price of a Chinese machine varies, starting from 23 thousand rubles. Concerning domestic production, then most often the equipment is assembled at a Russian plant from the same Chinese components.
Drilling machine An irreplaceable thing - it is used to perform drilling or milling operations with high accuracy. You can assemble such a unit yourself, in which case you will have to buy a stand for a drill, the price of which is around 3 thousand. A fully equipped machine costs from 20 thousand rubles.
It will be needed when you need to shrink or press out a sleeve, sleeve, or bearing. A hydraulic jack is suitable as a base for the press.
Grinding machine Grinding machine. This is really the thing about which they say “like having no hands.” It is used to adjust a part to size, sharpen a spatula or knives, and even perform milling operations when using a flexible sleeve for this. Therefore, you should buy a quality sharpener.
Various jokes All kinds of shelves, racks, drawers - everything that provides rational placement of tools and accessories.

This list can also be supplemented with welding equipment, a compressor, an angle grinder, a drill, and screwdrivers.

Deciding on tool storage

The next step is to think through and organize proper storage tools (see) and zoning of the workspace.

To do this, you should pay attention to the following points:

Functional and rational use of space Racks, shelves, hooks allow you to conveniently place tools, freeing up space. At the same time, they are easy to do with your own hands, spending a minimum of material and time.
Storing things It's time to sort the accessories, arrange them according to the level of use. Store frequently used tools in nearby drawers, in the first rows of shelves. For heavy equipment, reserve space on the bottom shelf of the shelving unit.
Tire space Spare tires can be placed under the ceiling - they are not accessed very often. A device such as a bracket allows you to conveniently store replacement tires. When hung on the walls high above your head, the wheels will not interfere and take up useful space. Plastic bags or special covers allow you to keep the wheels clean and protect them from dust.
Working surface Usually this is a table or workbench. This design is easy to assemble; just a few boards and bars are enough. A table is a place on which it is convenient to place a vice, as well as a number of other devices. It is best to equip the work surface close to the rack or shelves.
Lighting issues Special attention should be paid to lighting; its system should be properly organized, namely a system, and not a separate (one) lighting device.
  • It is necessary to provide lighting throughout the entire garage space: the space above the work surface, above the hood of the car, near the shelving and in other important places.
  • So, this will require several lamps and light bulbs. The ideal option is when you can turn on all the light bulbs at the same time, or use them each separately. This can be done using an ordinary double switch.

Attention: Sockets should be installed near the garage door and directly at the work desk.

Contents of clothing It is worth highlighting a corner where the work uniform will be stored. Let it be a shelf, a hook or even a box. Don't forget about work shoes and personal protective equipment.
Security measures A garage is a place where various chemicals and flammable solutions are present, for example, gasoline, oils, solvents. A separate cabinet or shelf is allocated for them, located near the gate. Requirements fire safety They involve installing a box filled with sand nearby and placing a fire extinguisher on the wall.

These are all the points that you should pay attention to when arranging your garage space. Now let’s take a closer look at homemade garage gadgets. How to make a rack, shelf and workbench with your own hands - below step by step instructions. After all, it’s quite possible to do everything with your own hands.

How to make a rack

A tool lying in its place frees up space and ensures ease of use. Rack – great option placement and storage of devices.

Of course, you can buy a rack in a store, but making it yourself will save money and time (see). In addition, it will meet all your needs and ideally suit the chosen location.

So:

  • Wood or metal are good materials for shelving. The design can be made straight or angular. When designing a rack, focus on a load parameter of at least 150 kg. But at the same time, do not overload each individual section; count on a weight of no more than 500 kg.
  • If you choose wood, then choose durable varieties such as oak, hornbeam, and beech. Don't forget to process everything before starting installation. wooden surfaces with a special antiseptic solution. This treatment will allow the structure to last longer due to the protective layer that prevents the effects of moisture and bacteria.

It would be useful to plan and sand the wooden frame elements:

  • For making shelves plywood will do, chipboard, fibreboard. The thickness of the slab must be more than 4 mm. The thickness of the slab is influenced by the expected load: a higher degree of load means stronger, thicker material.
  • The shelves can be painted or covered with decorative film. This will make them look more attractive, and it will be easier to remove dirt from the treated surface.

So let's get to work. You can replace the dimensions given in the instructions with your own.

We will divide all the work on creating a rack into several sequential operations:

  • We take a board 9 cm wide and cut it into pieces of different lengths. So we will have 30, 27.5, 18 cm pieces. In the future they will serve as spacers.
  • Let's make blanks for the shelves. To do this, take a board, 19 cm wide, and cut it into 36 cm pieces.
  • On the board serving as the base, we place marks for fastening the spacers. We will install them, maintaining a distance of 2.5 cm from each edge of the base. We begin work by gluing the upper spacer. Having made sure of its reliability, we nail it top shelf. We perform the same actions with the rest. Thus, we complete the work by securing the lower spacer.
  • We turn the rack over to tighten the spacers and the base of the structure with screws.
  • We process the finished rack and its wooden elements well with sandpaper, after which we apply two layers of varnish. When the impregnation dries, you can refine appearance shelves by gluing decorative film.
  • And at the last stage we attach the rack to the wall using anchor screws. We will screw the fasteners under the lower and upper shelves.

Attention: The given diagram allows you to mount a rack with the required number of sections. At the same time, to strengthen the structure, place wooden blocks between sections. This allows you to evenly distribute the load.

Making a shelf in the garage

It will come in handy when there is no space to install a rack, but things need to be stored somehow. Another situation is that shelving has already been installed in the garage, but there is still free space left.

Attention: The advantage of shelves is that they are easy and quick to make using minimum costs, but at the same time they are very convenient for placing all kinds of accessories.

The process of making shelves is as follows:

  • We decide on the space for the shelves, their number, and take the necessary measurements.
  • We prepare the material: boards and fasteners.
  • We make markings on the wall for fastenings.
  • Using a hammer drill, we make holes for the fasteners and screw in the dowels. For reliable fixation, it is recommended to use special dowels with hooks.
  • We attach hangers with eyes to the blank shelf or board. In this case, we will fix the metal hangers with self-tapping screws, and if there are none, with nails. We check the distance for the hangers with the markings on the wall.
  • We attach the finished shelf to the wall in the chosen place.

Attention: Several shelves placed side by side are better than one long one. If a shelf is too long, there is a risk that it will collapse under the weight of the tools on it.

  • To ensure that the shelves are level and positioned strictly horizontally, use a building level in your work, checking it several times.
  • And the last point is finishing the finished shelf. This is an optional condition, but still the appearance plays a role and somewhat enlivens the gloomy atmosphere of the garage.

DIY workbench

A comfortable work surface, a workbench, will make working in the garage more comfortable and more productive. A workbench is handy for repairing car parts and performing minor repairs on household items.

A workbench that you assemble yourself has some advantages over a factory model: it is much cheaper, and besides, the size of the table will ideally suit your needs.

In order to assemble the workbench, we will prepare the necessary materials and tools:

  • Boards, bars;
  • Fastening elements;
  • Wood glue, varnish, drying oil;
  • Screeds;
  • Planer, sandpaper.

Work plan:

  • Think over the model of the workbench, pay attention to the smallest details. Usually the basis of the structure is the underframe and the tabletop. The product must include a clamping device, or preferably several.
  • Start assembling the tabletop. It is best to make a tabletop using 20 boards, each size 200x10x5 cm. In the fifth and sixteenth boards you need to make grooves for stops. The groove size is 2.5x2.5 cm. Make grooves every 25 cm.

Attention: The boards are glued together and fastened with metal ties. Before you start joining the boards, you need to plan their surface.

  • Leave the boards until the glue dries completely. Then carefully plan them again so that their surface becomes smooth and flat. After some time, the wood shrinks, so don’t miss this moment - you will need to tighten the nuts on the ties.
  • Prepare the legs for the table. Bars with dimensions of 80x10x10 cm are suitable. Brackets will be inserted into the front supports, so grooves should be made for them. Brackets are needed to connect to the longitudinal beam.
  • Assemble two frames from boards, 10x5 cm. These frames will be the base of the underframe to which the supports are attached. To do this, we use a “spike” type connection. We will mount the frames themselves into the table legs and secure them with bolts. A sheet of plywood, the thickness of which is at least 1 cm, is installed on the lower frame.
  • Make side and back support walls for the table. As a material, take a chipboard or plywood sheet, with a thickness of 1 cm. Attach the resulting blanks to the table. On the left side of the table, install a small cabinet with a door.
  • Connect the tabletop and the upper frame using bolts. It will be more convenient to prepare holes for the bolts in advance. Screw in the bolts until the caps are buried in the wood.
  • Assembling a miter box is a device that helps maintain the required angle during the sawing process. To make a miter box you will need wooden strips, each 2 cm thick. Fix ready-made miter box using stoppers.
  • The last point is to treat the homemade workbench with drying oil and then with varnish. Give the table time to dry, and then feel free to get to work.
  • On work surface the table can also be installed with a vice, circular saw, in general, everything you need in your work.

Anyone can make useful gadgets in the garage. Moreover, you yourself know what is necessary. We have given examples of the most common ones. So, look at the photos and videos and make your choice.

With proper arrangement of space, a garage can serve not only for parking a car, but also as a workshop for its maintenance. In addition, a properly planned space will easily accommodate the required tools and provide storage of technical fluids and wheels during the off-season. The functionality of the premises will allow you to expand, which can be made from scrap materials or purchased in specialized stores with subsequent modification to suit your needs.

Considering the fact that the number of things in the garage will increase over time, it is worth rationally using the walls, floor, basement(if available) equipping them with the maximum number of shelves, hooks, and racks. For skilled people, a workplace is determined and equipped in accordance with their needs.

Storage of large items

All items occupying garage space are conventionally divided according to several characteristics: large and small, required constantly or used once or twice a year. Depending on this, before starting to arrange the space, they work out a list of large things that are not often used, which include:

  • winter, summer wheels;
  • bicycles;
  • skis.

The list may be longer; perhaps the garage owner likes to do mechanics, then he will definitely have long pipes (plastic and metal) in his arsenal. different sections, bars and boards. For compact, orderly storage of large items, garage homemade or purchased devices are used, for example:

  1. Purchase wall-mounted bicycle holders that allow you to store them in a vertical position, which provides significant space savings;
  2. For sets of tires, special shelves are installed on which each wheel lies separately. They are located in any convenient location, for example, under the ceiling, along the wall or, capturing a corner space, or suspended from the ceiling or wall on an appropriate support, having previously been cleaned of dirt and packed in special cases. This method of storing tires is only suitable for sets on rims.
    Considering cases where tires are stored without rims, a metal rack is welded on which the tires stand vertically in one row. Place the device under the ceiling or on the floor, securing it securely;
  3. Using homemade mounts, they provide a compact arrangement of skis, ski poles and other sports equipment.

Attention! It is necessary to provide in advance a place in the upper third of the wall for storing a removable trunk.

In addition, craftsmen make various suspended ceiling structures located parallel to the floor to accommodate long objects, such as pieces of pipes or beams.

Devices for small things

For many craftsmen, the number of different-sized screws, nuts, bolts, and washers is measured in a bunch of boxes and buckets, in which it is extremely difficult to find the right part. To solve the problem, garage gadgets have been invented that allow you to organize small things and ensure that you can quickly find the right part, for example:

  • special portable boxes with compartments. Convenient option, allowing not only to store, but also to transport the required parts if necessary. It should be noted that the cost of the boxes is relatively high, so the ideas proposed below will help reduce costs;
  • craftsmen sort small nuts and other parts into jars with screw-on lids, and the lids themselves are securely attached to hanging shelves. All that remains is to screw the jar into the lid and the parts will always be in sight and at hand.

If you have the financial means, purchase compact storage systems for hardware, nuts and other parts of different sizes and different fastening capabilities.

Tool storage

Working tools are divided into large-sized and small-sized, so homemade tools for the garage will be different. In most cases, cutting machine, hammer drill, and other large tools, owners prefer to store using “original” drawers. Therefore, for their convenient location along the wall, a rack is made from scrap materials, taking into account the total load on the shelves (for home-made structures, the weight should not exceed 150 kg).

Attention! The stores offer a wide variety of shelving models made of both wood and metal that can withstand loads of up to 500 kg or more. With relatively little high costs Oh, it’s convenient to purchase a ready-made shelving unit for the garage right size, securing it to the wall.

For small tools such as keys, screwdrivers, pliers and others, organize space depending on their number:

  • the sets are stored in purchased boxes, placed on a rack;
  • for single items, either cabinets are set up in which each tool is fixed in a corresponding niche, or a perforated surface is prepared (as in a store) mounted on the wall and a specific place is determined for each of the tools.

Some craftsmen place their instruments using designs from plastic pipes, in which holes of the appropriate diameter are made.

Homemade machines for garage work

For a comfortable stay repair work provide space for a workbench (it can be folded to save space). To begin with, they work out a drawing of the table, considering the presence of retractable shelves, then they make it from boards or metal sheets, equip it with a vice and a sharpening machine.

In some cases, craftsmen cannot do without homemade machines and other devices made independently and improving the quality of the manufactured item.

Press from improvised tools

One of the most popular DIY garage gadgets is. To create it you will need a hydraulic jack, a metal surface that will serve as the base of the moving part of the press, springs and profile pipes or a channel to create a frame. Further:

  • create a frame by welding channels and reinforcing the structure with transverse stiffeners; transverse corners are also welded downwards for stability;
  • the movable platform is attached to the upper frame with springs, and a jack is installed.

The press forces are regulated by a jack.

Depending on the needs of the garage owner, other useful homemade machines are made, for example, a drilling machine, made on the basis of a drill, secured with clamps and moving along a rack using a gear, or a cutting machine, or a lathe.

In addition to the devices listed above, you should take care of the location of work clothes, provide for the presence of a fire extinguisher or sand (based on fire safety rules), and consider ventilation and lighting systems.

Thus, with a little ingenuity and thriftiness, you can make accessories for the garage with your own hands, thereby ensuring compact storage of things and freeing up enough space for organizing minor repairs car and work related to the maintenance of certain home appliances.

A variety of accessories for a private garage, designed and manufactured in-house, allow for better and more efficient vehicle maintenance. Their creation requires minimal financial costs. At the same time, in most cases, home-made equipment is in no way inferior in its capabilities to expensive factory-made analogues.

Stand for electric drill - simplify the drilling process

In a private garage, over time, more and more different tools and equipment used to service the vehicle appear. The owner should ensure their convenient and rational storage so that the most necessary devices are always at hand, and rarely used ones are hidden away. To solve this problem, you need to draw a basic sketch and create shelves or. There are many ready-made options for such designs on the Internet. And it’s not difficult to come up with a shelving system yourself.

More problems arise when you need some rare homemade items for the garage. For example, many car owners use when servicing their car and performing various works around the house with an electric drill. Often, with its help, it is necessary to make perfectly even holes with axes strictly perpendicular to the plane of the workpiece. Anyone who has tried to achieve such a result knows that it is not at all easy. As a rule, the holes are skewed. A drill stand can solve this problem. To build it with your own hands, you need to stock up on:

  • rod or calibrated tube;
  • a platform from a milling cutter (manual), which has not been used for its intended purpose for a long time due to its wear and tear;
  • sheets of plywood.

It is also permitted to use another suitable platform as a base for the stand. The main thing is that it is level and has areas where you can install new long guides. The function of the latter in our case will be performed, as you already understood, by metal rods or calibrated tubes. The process of building a rack is truly simple. Let's describe it.

First we cut a box from a sheet of plywood. It must be done precisely according to the geometric parameters of the available drill. Then it is necessary to secure our power tool as securely as possible for drilling holes in the box prepared for it. Fixation is best done using special wing nuts. After this, we make two holes in the box and pass tubes (rods) - guides - through them. We mount a handle on top of them. With its help, we will move the drill to drill holes vertically.

Advice. If you want to control the drilling depth, it is advisable to additionally equip the design with a quick-release clamp. It will act as a movement limiter for the drill. All the work described was done by a more or less experienced home handyman will not cause the slightest problem. And in the end we will get easy-to-use and very useful homemade equipment.

Mini knife sharpening machine - reliable and compact

Now let's try to make a device that will allow you to sharpen kitchen and any other knives. We proceed like this:

  1. 1. Take an unnecessary sheet of metal (in any garage it is sure to be lying somewhere in the corner and waiting in the wings).
  2. 2. We fix a threaded bolt at the bottom, and at the top metal plate weld a small corner.
  3. 3. Place a nut on the bolt thread. It serves as a hinge for the lateral movement of our device. With its help you can change the sharpening angle of knives.
  4. 4. We weld another one to the described nut. We got a ready-made hole for the rod in the bolt. It is easy to make from thin wire.

The clamp in the machine will be the top part of the sheet. We make two holes in it. We apply a clamp to the frame. Then we cut another hole. It must be end-to-end (common to the plate and clamp). Next, we make carvings in the bed, taking into account the length of the bars for turning. They are optimally made from artificial diamonds. There is no more wear-resistant and at the same time inexpensive product in nature. And we’ll make clamps for the beams in a couple of minutes from a piece of ebonite or plexiglass.

All that remains is to drill an additional hole on the plate, placing it away from the knife, and cut a thread for the bolt, which will be used to tighten it. A compact and high-quality sharpening tool is ready! We put it on a shelf in the garage and use it as needed. Machines made according to the described scheme can be taken with you even on a hike. These garage sharpeners weigh little and take up minimal space.

Crane beam for the garage - let's make vehicle repairs easier!

Maintenance and simple car repairs in a home garage are greatly simplified if there is a crane in the room. Look at the photo below. It shows how convenient and useful a garage structure can be constructed without much effort.

We will make the transverse rod from a pipe with a cross-section of 10 cm, the supports for it from pipes 11 cm. Important! Racks homemade design It is recommended to make it from square profile pipes with dimensions of 10x10 cm. They will provide the device with good stability. We attach the rod to the supports with M16 bolts (you can use other fasteners), fix the bevels and the base using a 10x10 cm corner.

We buy a lifting cable at the nearest construction store. We take the rollers for it from the elevator door drive mechanism. Notice! The rollers need to be well secured. This operation is best performed using a narrow (5 cm) metal strip. The lifting of objects on the crane beam will be ensured by a worm gear hand winch. And don't forget to attach another set of rollers to the vertical posts. They will allow you to move the crane beam throughout the garage without any problems.

DIY compressor - homemade for advanced drivers

Workbenches, hanging shelves and others useful crafts Any car enthusiast can build it for storing equipment. It is more difficult to make machines and special equipment yourself. But when the right approach to really cope with such tasks. Let's assemble a compressor that can be used for blowing vehicle components and mechanisms, painting a car, and monitoring tire pressure.

We will need a 10-liter air receiver (a device with a slightly larger or smaller volume is suitable), a refrigeration unit (old, not used for a long time), and also:

  • adapters;
  • inexpensive filter regulator (feel free to purchase the cheapest one);
  • oxygen pressure gauge for the receiver;
  • fastening clamps;
  • hose (approximately 200 cm) designed for 20 bar pressure.

The compressor assembly process is simple. The receiver has outputs at the bottom, middle and top. The bottom one is necessary for draining oil and condensate, the middle one is for installing a pressure gauge. The flow is supplied to the consumer through the upper compressed air. We connect all the required elements to the outputs of the device and secure them with clamps. We connect the filter regulator to the receiver panel. Next to it there will be a button to start the unit. The maximum pressure of the regulator on a homemade device should not exceed eight atmospheres, the minimum - two.

It is advisable to additionally equip the compressor with an emergency valve. This inexpensive item will be fully guaranteed safe operation homemade device.

We will place the completed compressor near the wall on a rack or shelf. It will not interfere when moving around the garage, while at the same time being always at hand for the home craftsman. Advice. The old compressor must be thoroughly cleaned of rust before use. And then buy an aerosol can of paint and paint the unit.

Pulley for adjusting the speed of homemade machines and other crafts

We will briefly describe other popular tricks that are easily made from used tools and unnecessary things. Let's make, for example, a pulley for any machine in the garage. The material for its assembly can be textolite, metal, or plywood sheets. The last option is the simplest:

  1. 1. We cut out two larger and one smaller circles in a plywood blank. The diameter of the holes made must correspond to the cross-section of the shaft installed on the machine.
  2. 2. Place all the circles on the screw, use a nut to tighten them firmly. Instead of this fastener, it is allowed to use good glue. It will securely fix all the elements into a single structure.
  3. 3. Additionally, we tighten the details of the craft with screws.
  4. 4. Process with a file or sandpaper homemade pulley, apply a couple of layers of drying oil on it.
  5. 5. After drying, place the made device on the chuck of any mini-machine (for example, an electric drill). And we use the tool for our own pleasure, because now we can choose its rotation speed and control the load on the electric motor of the unit.

If necessary, it is possible to make a toothed pulley. To do this, it is enough to cut narrow grooves (tubules) in a small circle. This part of the operation must be completed before assembling the pulley.

if you have electric jigsaw, which is not used because the file holder is broken, does not need to be sent to a landfill. There are little tricks to give your instrument a second life. On its platform it is possible to assemble a simple tabletop jigsaw. We take a square of metal and solder a bolt into it. We get a new saw blade holder! Solder it to the old holder.

Then we make a stationary desktop. We take a plywood sheet and cut it to the size of the jigsaw. We attach a stand made of wood (we use hard grades) to the back plane of the working surface, and install it on the front furniture legs. Next, we mount the working structure on a suitable base plate. Use a refurbished and improved jigsaw to your health.

An ideal garage should organically combine the functions of a reliable shelter for a car and a well-equipped place for performing various repairs and other work. There are a number useful recommendations By interior design garage, while most necessary equipment you can make it yourself without spending money on buying them.

Work on the interior arrangement of a garage involves the use of many different useful devices. Read the suggested instructions and your garage will become the most convenient and comfortable.

Usually in the garage you have to store not only the car, but also many tools and other accessories. For convenient placement All this needs to be done is to equip the garage with racks, shelves, hooks and other similar devices.

The best option is a spacious rack. You can do it yourself. Fill in the remaining free space convenient shelves. There is nothing complicated about making them either. More detailed instructions you will receive next.

Get to grips with your tools. Arrange them according to frequency of use. The items you use most often should be stored in the drawers closest to the workbench. Store heavy equipment on the lower shelves of the rack; allocate space near the ceiling for spare tires - you will need them least often.

Secure the brackets

These devices will help you conveniently store replacement tires. Place the brackets closer to the ceiling, so the wheels will not take up useful space. For tires, buy large bags, or better yet, special covers to protect them from dust.

He's a workbench. The structure can be easily assembled with your own hands from boards and bars. You can attach a vice and other tools needed in the garage to the table. It is more convenient when the workbench is installed next to shelves and racks.

Organize your lighting system wisely

You will need several lamps: above the place where the car hood is usually located, above the desktop, in other important places in the garage. Ideally, the lighting system should be organized so that you can turn on all the lamps at the same time and each of them separately. An ordinary double switch will help you do this.

Install an outlet near your garage door and above your workbench.

Designate a place to store your work uniform. One shelf or at least a basic hook will be enough. Also provide a place to store work shoes and personal protective equipment.

Security questions

Substances such as gasoline, oil, etc. are stored in the garage. To store them, you need to allocate a separate cabinet or at least a shelf not far from the gate. Place a box of sand nearby and hang a fire extinguisher on the wall.

Each tool in the garage must have its own place, otherwise there will simply be no order in the room. For organization convenient storage pack your things homemade rack. Ready-made models are quite expensive, and do not always meet the needs specific person. Therefore, it is much more profitable and rational to make a rack “for yourself” right away.

Assemble the rack in such a way that it can withstand a load of at least 150 kg. In this case, the load on each individual section should not exceed 500 kg. The rack can be assembled from wood or metal. The design can be straight or angular.

As for wood, preference should be given to the most durable species such as oak, hornbeam, beech, etc. Before assembly, all wooden structural elements are treated with antiseptic impregnation. Thanks to this treatment, the wood will be more resistant to moisture and various bacteria and will last much longer.

If possible, plan and sand all frame elements with high quality.

Make shelves from plywood or chipboard. DVL and OSB boards are also suitable. The main thing is that the plate has a thickness of at least 4 mm. The higher the expected load on the shelves, the thicker they should be.

To give the shelves a more presentable appearance, it is recommended to cover them with decorative film or paint them. Also, such processing will allow you to better get rid of contaminants in the future.

The simplest rack is made in several steps. Complete each of them in sequence. Various sizes will be given below. You can stick to them or change the dimensions at your discretion.

First step. Take a 9 cm wide board and cut it into several pieces of different lengths: 30 cm, 27.5 cm and 18 cm. From these pieces you will make spacers.

Second step. Take a board 19 cm wide and cut it into the required number of 36 cm long sections. From these sections you will make shelves for your rack.

Third step. Mark on the board that serves as the base the places for attaching the spacers. It is recommended to install spacers at a distance of 2.5 cm from each edge of the base. Glue the top brace in place, then nail the top shelf to it with the pre-attached brace. Do similar manipulations with the remaining spacers and shelves. The bottom brace is attached last.

Fourth step. Turn the rack over and tighten the spacers to the base of the structure using screws.

Fifth step. Thoroughly treat all wooden surfaces sandpaper and apply a double coat of oil varnish. If you wish, you can cover the shelves with decorative film or decorate them with other material at your discretion.

Sixth step. Attach the shelving unit to the wall using anchor screws. Place fasteners under the lower and upper shelves.

Using this scheme, you can assemble a rack from the required number of sections. To strengthen the structure, place wooden blocks between the sections. This will help distribute loads evenly throughout the system.

If there is no space to install a full-fledged rack or, on the contrary, you have installed racks and there is little unoccupied space left, be sure to make several convenient and simple shelves for storing various accessories.

First step. Determine where to place the shelves. Accordingly, set the required quantity and optimal sizes products.

Second step. Prepare the required number of boards and fasteners in accordance with the plan drawn up at the previous stage.

Third step. Mark on the walls where the future shelves will be attached.

Fourth step. Armed with a hammer drill, prepare holes in the walls in accordance with the markings and screw dowels into them. It is best to use dowels with hooks - they will provide a more reliable fixation of the shelves.

Fifth step. Attach eye hangers to the board. When choosing a distance, refer to the markings on the wall. Use self-tapping screws to attach metal hangers. If you don't have them, you can get by with ordinary nails.

Metal shelves

Metal shelves for garage

Metal shelves

Sixth step. Fix the finished shelves in their intended places.

Remember: it is better to make several short shelves than one long one, which will break under the weight of the objects placed on it.

If you wish, you can decorate the shelves, for example, cover them with film or paint them. Make sure the shelves hang level. A tool called a level will help you control this moment.

To make working in the garage as comfortable and productive as possible, assemble and install a workbench in a convenient place. With it you can repair both car parts and other household accessories. A homemade workbench has a big advantage over finished model factory production - you can make a table of the size that you need.

  6. Tool for wood processing.
  7. Wood glue.
  8. Sandpaper.
  9. Drying oil.

First step. Consider the optimal design of your workbench. The main elements of such a product are the underframe and the tabletop. The design also includes one or more clamping devices.

Second step. Assemble the tabletop. The best option is a tabletop made of 20 boards measuring 200x10x5 cm. Prepare grooves for stops measuring 2.5x2.5 cm in the 5th and 16th boards. Place the grooves in 25 cm increments.

To join the boards, use glue and metal ties. Before gluing, the surfaces of the boards must be planed.

Third step. Plan the dry tabletop thoroughly. You should get a smooth, flat surface. Over time, the wood will shrink. You need not to miss this moment and tighten the nuts on the ties in a timely manner.

Fourth step. Make the legs. To do this, use high-quality blocks measuring 80x10x10 cm. Make grooves for the brackets in the front supports. The brackets will later be connected to the longitudinal beam. This type of beam is commonly used in the construction of window frames.

Fifth step. Assemble the base of the table from two frames and fasten it to the supports. Assemble the frames from 10x5 cm boards. Use a tenon joint. The frames are directly cut into the table legs to a depth of 2.5 cm and bolted to them. Attach a sheet of plywood to the bottom frame. A sheet 1 cm thick will be enough.

Sixth step. Attach the side and back support walls to the table. To make the walls, use chipboard or plywood 1 cm thick. Build a convenient cabinet with a hinged door on the left of the table.

Seventh step. Connect the workbench top to the top frame using bolts. It is recommended to prepare the holes for the bolts in advance - this will make connections faster and easier. Tighten the bolts so that their heads are recessed into the wood.

Eighth step. Make a miter box. This device will help you in the future to cut workpieces at the required angles. The miter box is assembled from wooden strips 2 cm thick. Attach the finished miter box to the table using stoppers.

Ninth step. Treat your homemade workbench with drying oil and varnish. Give paint coating dry and you can start using the table. If necessary, install a vice or, for example, a circular saw on it. At this point, focus on your needs.

Video - DIY garage accessories

The garage takes up a lot of space in the life of the stronger half of humanity, even if the family does not have a car. In addition to being used as a room for storing and servicing a car, the garage has a fairly wide range of functions, despite its rather limited area.

How can you arrange a garage?

First, let's look at several options for ergonomic use and design. internal space garage:

  • In its internal configuration, in 99% of cases, a garage box has rectangular shape. Accordingly, the distance from the car to the side walls is not very large and is not comfortable for carrying out any work. The most common arrangement option is to move the work area (workbench, shelving or cabinets with tools and spare parts) to the rear of the garage, to the wall opposite the gate. This area may even have enough space to install some kind of necessary equipment, in addition to the workbench.
  • If in the garage big size If there is an additional room (utility room, electrical room), then on the surface of its door you can organize tool storage using a hanging sheet or put holders in the form of loops on it different sizes made of plastic and ordinary ropes.

  • The simplest option: if it is not possible to install a rack in the garage, you can place it at some distance from the wall metal grill. You can hang almost any objects, clothes and the like on it. You don't even have to install shelves.
  • Another way out is to attach hooks to any surface. There simply can’t be enough of them in the garage. You can make them yourself, or you can buy them at the supermarket. Significant savings in free space are guaranteed.

Little tricks for the garage

So, the garage has been purchased. On initial stage arrangement we will talk about buying pieces of furniture, most likely. Finding something that suits the owner and at the same time takes up a minimum of space is not so easy. The way out of this situation is to make the necessary pieces of furniture with your own hands.

Table with folding top– ideal for a small garage. This stand does not take up much space, but can be a very decent table. usable area. In its manufacture, the materials from which the old cabinet was made are often used.

Materials:

  • furniture hinges;
  • wood fasteners;
  • accessories;
  • wooden blocks;
  • anchor.

First, markings are made using a building or household level.

Next steps:

  • the block is drilled through and attached to the wall with anchors;
  • holes are marked and drilled in the future plane of the table and the area where the corners are attached;

  • the block and the tabletop are connected by hinges;
  • the table in the folded position is held by a standard latch, lock or hook, which is fixed to the wall;
  • The table supports are simply leaned against the wall next to the table.

How to make a stand for a drill?

Making a mini-drilling machine with your own hands does not require high qualifications, but it greatly expands the scope of application of an ordinary electric drill. In addition, the machine will be much cheaper than a purchased one, and components can be borrowed from previously used devices.

Making a wooden stand will take very little time and will not require any special materials or tools:

  • wooden blocks or boards no thinner than 20 mm;
  • furniture guides;

  • metal rod with thread for caliper;
  • fasteners for wooden parts (screws, glue);
  • emery.

Tools:

  • hacksaw;
  • vice;
  • Screwdriver Set;
  • electric drill.

The dimensions of the mini-machine are chosen in accordance with the size of the workspace in the garage.

Making a stand from metal requires a little more time and materials, so it is necessary to cover it in a little more detail.

The proposed metal stand is more versatile than one made of wood and includes:

  • supporting frame;
  • guide posts of the drill, to which it is attached and moved vertically;
  • vertical tool feed handle;
  • additional components for ease of use.

How to make an overpass for car repairs?

It's no secret that a car needs regular maintenance and minor repairs, like any technically complex mechanism. For ease of access to components and assemblies located on the bottom of the car, a hand-made lightweight overpass is often used, which will significantly save money spent on service station technicians.

Overpasses come in full and small sizes. Strictly speaking, overpasses function in the same way as inspection pits.

The need to build such a useful invention is most often dictated by the high boundary of the aquifer in the place where the garage is built, which makes the construction of an inspection pit impossible.

It is quite possible to install the overpass yourself. For this case, you need drawings, an action plan and taking into account the dimensions of the car:

  • the total length of the overpass is usually taken from the calculation - length of the car + 1 m;
  • ladder width – more than 40 cm;
  • height of supports – 70-80 cm.

The ladders are made from a corner, the cabinets are welded from a corner with a shelf width of 50 mm. The surface of the ladder is made of corrugated steel with a cross-section of more than 14 mm.

How to assemble a compressor for a garage?

When servicing a car, and for other work in the home and garage, there is often a need for air compressor. It will help with painting, inflating tires, blowing off dust, and in many other cases.

The simplest compressor To paint a car, you can assemble it yourself from an old car inner tube.

Here is a description of the necessary materials and tools to bring this idea to life:

  • the camera itself will serve as the receiver;
  • supercharger - a pump, preferably with a pressure gauge;
  • tire repair kit;
  • awl.

Procedure:

  • check the chamber for damage with the pump and repair it if found;
  • make a hole in the receiver to release a stream of compressed air;
  • glue in the additional fitting and connect it to the spray gun;
  • Unscrew the nipple in it to give air free passage;

  • leave the “original” chamber nipple - it will be used as a valve, holding excess pressure;
  • by testing, determine the required air pressure of the receiver, spraying paint and ensuring that it lies evenly;
  • The main rule is that there should be nothing foreign in the chamber: moisture, particles of dirt and dust.

In the presence of minimum quantity assembly skills more complex structures, we can suggest trying to assemble a compressor of greater complexity and versatility, which can be used to measure the number of atmospheres in car tires, paint, blow and blow off dust.

The method is inexpensive, even if you don’t have a lot of scrap materials in the garage.

Installation is carried out from:

  • old refrigeration unit;
  • air receiver with a volume of up to 10 l;
  • pressure gauge for the air receiver;
  • air pressure regulator;

  • hose high pressure(20 bar);
  • the most inexpensive filter-regulator;
  • several clamps;
  • adapters.

The compressor does not take up much space, so it can be installed in a niche on the wall or on a DIY wall shelf, where necessity dictates.

This type of compressor receiver has three outputs:

  • the top one supplies compressed air;
  • the middle one is used by the pressure gauge in the receiver;
  • Condensate and oil are drained through the bottom.

Operating principle: the compressor sucks in air through the lower part, where the filter regulator and switch switch are installed. The regulator pressure limits range from two to eight atmospheres.

To ensure against troubles, you can install a relief valve for safety.

How to make a crane-lift?

No one will deny that periodically any car needs to be serviced, and from time to time repaired. Serious repairs are not a cheap pleasure, so many car owners undertake to do it in the garage or at the dacha with their own hands. For example, when repairing an engine, significant physical effort will be required when removing it and installing it in place after repair.

A crane with a winch can be of great help in such operations. It can be equipped in the garage either by purchasing it in a supermarket or with your own hands, according to a simple diagram.

Most practical way placement of such a crane beam - above the front of the car parked in the garage. If the boom reach is 1 meter, then work zone will be around 5 m².

The base in the considered option will be sheet steel 400x400x25 mm. A rod with a diameter of 80 mm is welded into it, attached to the ceiling with M16 bolts.

It is necessary to ensure compliance with horizontal levels, since often the floor or ceiling of a garage may have a slope in one direction or another.

The boom is made of a meter strut, 50x50 angles and a glass with two pressed bronze bearing bushings. The entire structure is secured with a cotter shaped nut M42x2.

Pit and cellar

Useful space is not limited to the garage box itself: you rarely see a garage without a cellar, where racks for pickles and marinades, and departments for fruits and vegetables collected on the original “six hundred square meters” are so excellently located.

The situation is as follows: a garage has been built/bought/rented, the car requires repairs or just maintenance, and inspection hole not in the garage. There is a way out - build it with your own hands.

In general, the inspection pit should be of such a size that the owner can sit and work in it comfortably.

To do this, measure the dimensions of the hole:

  • length pits are selected in accordance with the length of the car base + 1 meter;
  • width determined by measuring the distance between the front wheels minus 20 cm to ensure that the car does not fall through when entering;
  • depth selected according to the height of the car owner + 20 cm.

Life hack: you need to add 30 cm to all the obtained dimensions. This is done for the intended installation of hydro- and thermal insulation.

Let's take a step-by-step look at the construction process itself:

  • The dimensions of the pit are marked.

Lifehack. If you already have a floor screed, you will have to organize the work order as follows: apply markings and then cut through them with a grinder or some other tool.

  • We keep the floor parallel with the help of a level and carefully compact it. Usually, the first layer on the floor of the pit is a cushion of crushed stone, then in order: 5 cm of sand, 30 cm of clay, reinforced mesh, which is filled with concrete in a layer of 7 cm. Then it is necessarily spilled with bitumen-based mastic, roofing material is laid on top, then the seams are coated and lay a layer of foam plastic and the next layer of concrete 15 cm.

  • The walls of the pit are coated with clay, polyethylene is laid, and roofing felt is placed on it and all joints, as on the floor, are coated with mastic.

  • Creating formwork is the most labor-intensive operation: it is made up of plywood sheets or boards, leaving a gap of 7 cm from the wall.

  • The wall is reinforced and poured with concrete.

Life hack: the height is filled at a speed of 20 cm per day, not faster.

  • Niches can be made in the walls; ceramic tiles must be used as cladding.

When arranging a cellar in a garage, the most reliable solution- use a caisson. If you are wondering what a caisson is, it is best to turn to several life hacks that will explain its purpose.

Simply put, a caisson is a can. An ordinary large waterproof canister, tank or anything that resembles them. It is used as a basement impermeable to soil moisture.

It consists of:

  • over-caisson structure (this is the entrance to the cellar hatch);
  • cylindrical chamber with dimensions 2 m high and 1 m in diameter, this is best option, from the point of view of the proportion “volume/materials spent”;
  • The caisson is additionally waterproofed from moisture using various bitumen mastics, an asphalt layer or various solutions, again based on bitumen.

Let's look at a few useful tips and recommendations on this matter:

  • The walls of the caisson must withstand significant external pressure; you should not skimp on their thickness.
  • Welds must be welded twice, and the use of anti-corrosion agents is highly recommended.

  • When using a caisson, it is necessary to arrange reliable system its ventilation.
  • The list of basic storage units is almost the same: canned food and pickles, other homemade supplies rolled into jars and other containers, unprocessed vegetables and fruits. Therefore, it is necessary to take into account their storage conditions.

  • Ventilation requires special attention: the natural ventilation option is not always suitable due to the lack of the possibility of artificial regulation. Better fit forced ventilation.
  • If there is no caisson, for waterproofing, a so-called sand cushion 25-30 cm thick is laid on the floor, covered with roofing felt or other material on top, and the seams are glued with bitumen or mastic.

  • Raw vegetables are stored on the floor in boxes. Carrots and beets are additionally sprinkled with sand.
  • Wood shelving tends to become covered in fungus over time. To avoid this, they are coated with protective mixtures.

  • Steel racks do not have this drawback, but they tend to corrode, so they are treated with water-repellent materials.
  • Plastic shelving is resistant to moisture and corrosion, but is quite fragile and cannot bear a large weight load.

  • The depth of the cellar is directly proportional to the depth of the aquifer in this particular area, unless a caisson is used.
  • When using a caisson, measures must be taken to prevent it from being squeezed out to the surface by groundwater.
  • The cellar floor should be located at least 1 meter from the upper boundary of the aquifer.

How to make a workbench?

Who has ever seen a garage that doesn’t have a workbench with a vice attached to it? Or a garage without shelves, mezzanines, or wall cabinets? Without a stand for checking or maintaining the car?

By looking at the interior of the garage, you can immediately tell who its owner is and how functional this or that option for using the internal space is, how much it optimizes it for operation.

Big and convenient workbench in the garage is its undeniable advantage. If you organize boxes for tools and parts in it, it will turn into a universal place of work. Typically, such a workbench is made across the entire width of the garage with drawers of various sizes.

To install it with dimensions 660x100x60 cm you need:

  • saw;
  • plywood of various thicknesses;
  • polyurethane;
  • paints;
  • sander;
  • fastener

Operating procedure:

  • for a workbench measuring 660x100x60 cm, you will need to cut 4 sheets 20 mm thick;
  • for the working surface it is better to use sanded plywood;

  • boxes are made from strips 0.6x4.8 m, 13 mm thick;
  • sections of the rack are assembled from 20 fragments measuring 61x61 cm;

  • each vertical row of drawers is calculated as follows: 3 small and 1 deep;
  • the depth of the guide grooves is 1.27 cm;

  • additionally cut a 254 mm groove at the bottom of the cabinet and three grooves 127 mm apart and 146 mm from the top of the cabinet;
  • the required structural rigidity is created by reinforcing the rear wall with strips of plywood;

  • we assemble all the structures for five boxes and fasten them together, then fix them to the wall with fastening screws so that there is free space under them for oversized items;
  • assemble boxes from 13 mm thick plywood;

  • handles are cut out in the front wall of the drawer or purchased ready-made and fixed with self-tapping screws;
  • the dimensions of the lower drawers are 120x25x5 cm and 60x25x5 cm;

  • a 60x120 cm frame is attached to the working surface of the workbench;
  • finishing the workbench involves sanding and painting in several layers.
  • allowed finishing coat varnish.

How to make shelving?

A rack is one of the most common rational solutions for organizing free space when placing things in a limited volume of a house or garage. The surfaces of the box walls invite you to lean a rack against them or strengthen a dozen or two shelves and put a wide variety of items on them: from fishing equipment and clothing to a boat motor and a spare engine block.

A garage rack can be purchased at retail chains - this is an option that requires almost no energy consumption. Installation/disassembly of such structures is elementary and does not require highly qualified assembler.

Perfect for all categories of garage owners, but quite expensive and will require a certain investment of capital.

You can try to make a rack yourself from scrap or purchased materials: from scraps of pipes, profiles or corners, from pieces of plywood, chipboard, plastic.

Instead of drawers, it is quite possible to use ordinary plastic canisters. The canister is positioned horizontally, and using the handle that is in front, it is pulled out and returned to its place.

The only thing that should not be forgotten is that it is prohibited to use canisters and other containers containing chemically aggressive, radioactive or flammable substances that can be harmful to health. The best option is a drinking water canister.

To make a rack from aluminum or other metal yourself, you need to carry out preparations, take dimensions, calculate the load and select the material for the product. You should also take into account what communications run in the place where the rack is planned to be installed.

  • First, determine the external dimensions of the product.
  • Then the number of shelves and their height are calculated. It makes sense to make them of unequal heights, since the sizes of storage items vary.

  • It is irrational to make sections that are too wide - the load-carrying capacity of the shelves will sharply decrease and the possibility of collapse will increase.
  • The drawing should begin with a sketch of the rack, its schematic representation with preliminary dimensions, giving general concept about what should happen in the end.

  • The next step will be cutting the vertical parts.
  • All parts are cut to the same length from a solid profile or angle. It is not recommended to compose them from separate parts.

  • Sometimes metal or metal-plastic pipes are used as risers.
  • The material for the shelves is chosen taking into account its strength. For example, shelves made of chipboard and fiberboard will not support significant weight due to their relative fragility.

  • Design shelves no more than 60 cm wide.
  • The presence of a edging (side) on the shelf will serve in two directions at once - it will create an additional stiffening rib and prevent small parts from falling.

  • First, install the vertical posts. The method of fastening (to the floor, ceiling, walls) should be considered at the stage of drawing up the drawing.
  • When installing, be sure to use a level to avoid distortions.
  • The shelves are secured using corners.

Let's look at some useful life hacks:

  • Sometimes, to save space, shelves are attached directly to the ceiling without using vertical supports on the floor. Hanging shelves can free up space in the lower tier of a garage box, but they cannot have a special load capacity. You can put oversized but lightweight long slats, plastic corners, cardboard pipes, etc. on them. They can also be made mesh - then you can additionally hang something from them with hooks.
  • Another popular way to use a wall is to arrange a metal or plastic panel with fasteners (hooks, brackets, etc.) instead of a shelving unit; this will greatly save space.
  • To create a small gap between the wall and the panel, it is recommended to use wine corks, sawn in half.

Hanging structures

The problem of storing small parts, screws, washers, bolts and other fasteners in the garage is quite acute. On the one hand, they should always be at hand, on the other hand, they are quite easy to lose or drop on the floor. There are several options for solving the problem. Here is one of the interesting, simple and inexpensive options - just ingenuity and a new look at using ordinary things.

First you need to decide on the required number of cells of the required size.

To work you will need:

  • 4 metal slats, each 2.2 m long;
  • electric drill;
  • fastener

In our case (see photo) there are 24 identical cells in a row. There are four rows in total, the size of each cell is 14x10x7.5 cm. metal rail(in our case, its length is 2 m) along the entire length of the row, you need to drill holes for fastening to the wall with a drill. Saving is not recommended, since the rail will keep the cells filled metal parts . Next, the slats are attached to the wall. We attach the cells to the slats. Ready!

Original options

You have to do a lot of things in the garage with your own hands, because among all the variety of goods that modern industry offers us, there is not always something that fully satisfies the demand of a picky and skilled owner.

In this case, we are talking not only about furniture (cabinets, racks, shelves, tables, workbenches), but also about all kinds of homemade devices, which make life so much easier when a sudden need arises to perform a non-standard operation.

The garage performs a wide variety of functions: from a storage room and a workshop to a repair box and a resting place. In any case, there are a lot original ideas, embodied in useful, necessary and functional devices and homemade products for the garage, which are quite accessible for making from improvised means with your own hands.

  • To protect against drafts, it is often recommended to lay a kind of felt “sausage” under the garage door. It is very helpful when working inside the garage during the winter season.
  • A spare set of tires is stored hanging or on its side. If there are no disks, tires are stored vertically with the obligatory change of their position once a month.

  • To place them in a standing position, it is recommended to design a storage location on the wall with your own hands. In fact, it is a wall-mounted triangular frame into which tires are inserted in a standing position. The farther the frame is installed from heating devices, the better the tires will be preserved.
  • It’s good if there are used tires in the garage that have not yet been scrapped. If you put a piece of plywood or chipboard on top of such a tire and decorate it with decor, it will turn into such an elegant little thing as a designer stool.

  • If you lack driving experience, you can mount a used tire on the wall opposite the gate as a bump stop. This craft will significantly reduce the risk of scratching the bumper when parking the car.
  • An old tire makes a homemade little thing for storing small items. Attaching the tire to the wall is quite simple, and this option will look impressive. For gardeners, the shelf can easily turn into a flower bed if the tire is placed outside the garage.

  • Storage different keys(single-on, combined, adjustable) hooks are advantageous and preferable from several points of view. Several keys on one hook, they are clearly visible, take up little space, and are all accessible at once.
  • The rags are very convenient to store using wall holder, in which ordinary clothespins are used. The rags will always be at hand, no need to waste time looking for them.

  • To make notes “for memory”, you need a board and chalk. But this is completely optional: cover a cabinet door, part of a gate, some kind of shield, or just a free, flat section of the wall with graphite paint and make a schedule of tasks on it, leave notes or write down the dimensions of the future shelving.
  • Using a grinder, you can turn an old 200-liter barrel into a wonderful chair if you cover it with foam rubber or rubber. The same thing can become the basis of a table for something needed.

  • Boxes with various things on the garage floor will become much more mobile if you attach wheels from old office chairs to them.
  • If, in addition to the hooks, you attach a figuratively cut strip with holes and staples to the wall above the workbench, it will be very helpful for storing and using pencils, drills, spools of thread or twine.

  • The same applies to various types loops and straps attached to the garage wall.
  • If you attach lids to the bottom surface of the wall cabinet, they are very convenient for wrapping jars in which various small items are stored.
  • Another possibility of using them: through the hole in the lid is pulled electrical cable, and a socket with a lamp is placed in the jar - the lampshade is ready!

Garage Doors– a very significant and important part of boxing. They carry a fairly significant load, serve as the main obstacle to burglars, and require thermal insulation. To all of the above, we can add that the gate should be as convenient to use as possible for the garage owner.

The version of the gate equipped with extension springs or torsion springs is not yet very popular in Russia compared to the “classic” version, but they also deserve attention precisely because of their ease of use.

Tension springs are usually used with gates smaller than 8 m². They do not require a large lintel height due to the use of extension springs installed on the sides. They are easier to install, and their price is lower than gates that use torsion springs. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to install a built-in wicket gate in such gates.

Torsion springs are used when installing gates larger than 8 m². 3 types of installation are allowed: standard, low, high. A big plus when using gates of this type is the protection against falling of the door leaf when the springs fail and low-noise operation, just like the version with a built-in wicket door.
