The standard sandbox size, convenient for several children to play, is 200 by 200 cm. Initially, you should take care of preparing the site for the sandbox. For marking, you will need a cord and a peg. After marking, you must remove upper layer soil, about 20 cm.

Next, you should prepare the base for backfilling sand. It is best to line the bottom of the sandbox with a dense material, as mixing sand with soil will cause it to lose its attractiveness. At the bottom of the sandbox is equipped sand cushion, about 5 cm thick. Next, lay geotextile material or plastic tiles at the bottom of the sandbox.

Please note that the use of polyethylene is unacceptable, since after rain moisture will accumulate inside the sandbox, which will prevent the sand from drying out. Geotextile materials, in turn, easily pass moisture, but do not let insects and spiders from the soil into the sand.

When using film or plywood, it is recommended to equip drainage holes in them. At the corners of the structure, a frame made of beams, 5x5 cm thick, should be equipped. Use an antiseptic to process parts, and it is recommended to treat those fragments of the sandbox that will come into contact with the soil with resin or bitumen.

To close each side of the sandbox, do pine shields. At the same time, it is recommended to choose boards with a thickness of 25 mm, and a width of about thirty centimeters.

Please note that knots or various kinds of burrs should not be present on the surface of the wood, it should be well sanded. For greater convenience of children during the game, we recommend building bumpers on the sandbox. They will serve not only as an additional seat, but also as a showcase for various kinds of sand structures.

As an additional convenience, you can build a cover on the sandbox that will protect it not only from rain, but also from debris and pets. For the manufacture of the cover, a shield should be built from the same boards, which is fixed on additional bars and hinges. Keep in mind that even a child should be able to open the doors, so do not make the lid massive.

In order to independently make a slide out of wood, you will need:

• four wooden beams, dimensions 10x10x60 cm;
• one bar 50x50x80 cm;
• three standard floor boards, 6 m long;
• five boards measuring 4x13x60 cm;
• two rails with a circular cross section;
• two sheets of fiberboard and wood lining used in the finishing process;
• fasteners and screws.

In addition, it is necessary to prepare such tools as a hammer, screwdriver, grinder, electric drill, planer, saw, level, tape measure, wood cutting machines, etc.

Instructions for making a playground from wood with your own hands:

1. Initially, you need to create a slide plan. The project should indicate the specific dimensions of each part. You can use ready-made drawings of slides.

2. In accordance with the drawing, the tree is sawn into separate parts. Logs must be sanded and planed. Bevel off wooden parts to avoid injury to children.

4. Make a recess in the ground by 65 cm. Coat the wooden parts of the tree that are installed in the ground with waterproofing mastic or resin.

5. Use a router to make grooves in the uprights. The depth of the grooves must be at least 2 cm. Use the grooves to connect the supports and boards. To tighten the boards, use bolts with self-tapping screws. The result is a frame structure.

6. Connect to the frame two wooden racks in which grooves are made. In order to install the floor, you need to use a floorboard.

7. Please note that a small gap must be left between the boards to compensate for the expansion of the tree in the process of getting wet. To connect the boards to the floor, use steel corners.

9. In order to build a frame, process the upper and lower parts of the slide with boards.

10. Sidewalls are installed on the side, the height of which is about 30 cm. For finishing the slope, a plastic sheet, galvanized steel sheet or linoleum coating is used.

12. In order to build a ladder for a slide, use a tree 5 cm thick. Initially, build a stringer on which the steps will be fixed. Use self-tapping screws to fix the boards.

13. Install the ladder, use self-tapping screws and racks to fix it on the slide. Don't forget to reinforce the beams. Next, the baluster is installed on the stairs, its height is about half a meter. Put a railing on it. Their installation is mandatory.

14. Install plywood or fiberboard walls at the bottom of the slide. They are fixed in groove joints. The presence of a parapet will protect the child from accidental falls. You should also equip the roof on the slide, it will protect the kids from the sun in hot weather.

How to decorate a playground with your own hands

In the process of designing a playground, it is not necessary to use expensive purchased materials. A few cans of bright paint and improvised means are quite enough. We lay out the supporting elements on the site in accordance with the project and form a frame - two side parts of our future complex. For connection we use screws with a diameter of 8-10 mm. We melt them into wood. The holes are closed with plugs.

We expose the sides on supports, fixing them in previously prepared recesses. At this stage, we enlist the help of 1-3 people. The sides are set according to the level. Previously, it is recommended to lay bricks under the bottom of each support for better stability of the site. We cover the installed supports with crushed stone by 10-15 cm and fill it with concrete mixture.

We connect the exposed supports with transverse beams. We leave the fill to gain strength.

Making a ladder

While the concrete hardens, we are engaged in the arrangement of the stairs. We cut the beam to the desired length. The design of the stairs is extremely simple: 2 stringers and steps. We make the steps not too high - the playground is still for children.

We tighten the stringers with the help of hairpins. We fix the steps in the recesses and additionally fix them with self-tapping screws.

We dig in supporting pillars for future stairs. We maintain the desired slope. Let's make it not too cool. The arrangement of supports remains the same as in the previous section.

Let's try a ladder. We set it according to the level, attach it to the base and fill the supports with concrete. We paint the stairs.

Next, we make railings. To do this, we expose the vertical racks from the timber, fasten them to the stairs, and then fix the handrails. We make the upper handrail from a board and fasten it at a height of about 90 cm, we fix the second handrail approximately in the middle between the upper railing and the stairs. For its manufacture, we can use a beam of 5x5 cm, 5x2 cm or another similar section.

What is a playground without a slide? Let's make it too! We will not spend money on a ready-made plastic descent. We won't mess with metal either. Let's make a slide out of wood!

First we will assemble the slide and then attach it to the base. Recommendations for laying the floor will be given below.

For the manufacture of the structure, we need the following material:

• timber with dimensions of 70x10x5 cm - 2 pieces;
• boards 220x15x2 cm - 5 pieces;
• timber 45x10x5 cm - 5 pieces.

From three boards we will make the base for the descent. We cut the boards to the same thickness and carefully grind. After that, directly on the surface we fasten the boards with the bars. We fasten from above - so we can pull the boards to the timber as efficiently as possible. Fasteners are recessed into the wood. We cover the recesses for wood processing. Let it dry, and then once again carefully grind the entire hill - it should be as smooth as possible.

Made the base. Let's start making the side pieces. Determine the angle of descent. The top floor of our playground will be at a height of 130 cm. Therefore, the descent angle will be about 55 degrees.

We grind the sidewalls, getting rid of sharp corners. Additionally, we round the boards along the length so that it is more convenient for the kids to hold on to the sidewalls while going down the hill.

It remains only to paint the product. You can cover it with stain, and then with varnish.

Now we need to install the finished slide. To do this, we concrete supports made of timber in pre-dug pits. Suitable material with dimensions of 70x10x5 cm. We pre-impregnate the wood with an antiseptic.

We connect the base of the slide with the support posts and the game complex using screws.

Making the floor and railings

We lay out the floor of our play complex from boards 15x2.5 cm. The total length of the floor is approximately 2.5 m. Before laying the floor, we attach stiffeners to the frame of the complex. For their manufacture, a beam of 5x10 cm is suitable.

At the same stage, we construct a vertical ladder from the end. To assemble it, we use 2x5 cm planks. At the end of the work, we will hang a rope near this ladder. Recommendations for the arrangement of railings have already been given earlier. We follow them. From the side of the steps, instead of the railings from the boards, we mount a 5x10 timber for arranging the manhole.

In this step, we will build and install support structure for a swing and equip a manhole. We make the support of the upper beam crosswise - it is more stable. We first make a selection for convenient joining of the bars and additionally tighten them with bolts. On top of the supports we lay and press the cross beam with a clamp. We fasten it to the support.

We dig holes for racks. We install supports in them, carefully checking each level. At the same stage, we fasten spacers to the uprights - they will not allow the supports to move during the hardening of concrete. We fill the pits with racks with a small layer of gravel and concrete.

Bye concrete pouring gaining strength, we make a manhole. We make the slope almost vertical. We arrange steps and cutouts at our discretion. Holes are cut with a jigsaw. We make the manhole itself from OSB and fasten it to a frame of 5x5 cm timber and 5x2 cm crossbars.

As a result of the creation of a children's playground in the village. Starosubkhangulovo will solve a number of important tasks: organizing leisure activities for children of preschool and primary school age; safety of life and health of children, promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

In the anniversary year of the Burzyansky district, a playground will be a good gift for our little citizens.

1.1 Description of the project

Before starting work on the project, we decided to find a place for a playground. The fact is that our village is located between the mountains, the houses are located very close to each other and there are no free places. The playground will be located on Kyzyl Tash street, Starosubkhangulovo village (Appendix 1). When choosing a territory, I took into account the following:

For small children, a small space for a sandbox, swing, slide is suitable. The older kids need to build a bigger playground. A small football field with goals is suitable for them; in winter, an ice rink can be poured on this site. You also need to remember that children grow up, and quite quickly. So it’s better not to build a low play complex “for centuries” for a child who is now 2-3 years old. From the age of 3, you will need a large playground, with a high slide and a swing, where not only children can play, but also adults can relax, for example, swinging on a swing.

The playground should develop, strengthen the physical and mental health of the child and at the same time be safe, prevent injuries, remote from garbage containers, planted with greenery and be a bright color accent in the environment.

The social significance of the project lies in the fact that it contributes to the activity of the population, establishes a close relationship between the villagers and self-government bodies.

When calculating the elements, we tried to choose not very expensive equipment. The cost estimate is given in two versions (Appendix 8), since after the first calculations I saw a huge amount. Burzyansky district is a subsidized area and the district budget will not be able to cope with such a large amount, so I decided to think over a cheaper option.

Foundation preparation

Find a place for the slide and prepare a hole for the frame foundation. We recommend making a square frame with a distance of 1 meter between the posts. The size of the side of the pit should be 1.5 meters, the depth should not be less than 20 cm. Seal the bottom of the pit and pour a layer of crushed stone (fraction 15–25 mm) 10 cm thick there. compact it. You can also get by with small holes for each bar. In this case, the depth of the pit should be at least 50 cm. Saturate the lower edge of the beam with diesel fuel and molten bitumen, the treated part should rise 1.5–2 cm above the ground. Pour a crushed stone pillow on the bottom of the pit - a fraction of 15–25 mm, a thickness of 5 -10 mm. Insert the posts into the pit, level and ensure they are properly oriented - their edges should be parallel to each other (this is not required with logs or round bars). Then pour concrete.

Useful advice! The less water in the concrete, the stronger it will be. To make thick concrete more mobile, add plasticizers to it, which can be bought at a hardware store.

Bottom harness and slope

Tie the bars with a 50 mm thick board at the floor level of the house, and also install one longitudinal jumper. Fasten the boards to the bars with self-tapping screws at least 100 mm long. From a board with a thickness of 25 mm, make a tray for a ramp. To do this, cut 2 boards, the length of which is slightly greater than the length of the slope. Mark the angles of contact with the frame strapping and the ground, then cut the board with circular saw or a jigsaw. Attach the boards to the harness to make sure you did everything right. Then cut jumpers from the same board. The length of the jumpers is equal to the width of the slope. Lay the long boards on the ground and, using self-tapping screws, attach jumpers to them from the bottom side.

The distance between the jumpers is not more than 30 cm, and install the first and last jumpers 5 cm from the edge. Make such a cutout in the upper edge of the board so that the slope rests on the harness as if on a shelf, and the jumpers are flush with the harness. Attach the ramp to the harness using the corners of the bolts with nuts and self-tapping screws. Set the corners so that children do not get scratched. Fasten the corners to the slope with bolts and nuts so that there is nothing protruding or sharp from the side of the slope. Sew up the slope with plywood using self-tapping screws. They must be recessed by 0.5–1 mm, then puttied and sanded. Secure the bottom edge of the ramp with pins driven into the ground or anchor bolts.

Stairs

Cut two pieces of board 50 mm thick, the length of which will be slightly greater than the length. Mark and cut the corners of contact with the strapping and the ground. Cut 24.5 mm wide grooves in these boards for the installation of steps, then cut the steps to the required width and assemble the ladder. Fasten the steps to the side boards with self-tapping screws. Attach the ladder to the harness and the ground on the side opposite the ramp. Attach supports and railings to both sides of the stairs. They can be made from a board with a thickness of 25 mm. Supports and railings must be processed using a manual or electric planer to eliminate sharp edges, and then carefully sanded. The upper edge of the railing must be attached to the uprights.

Additional entrances, top trim and roof

On one of the sides, make a ladder from the same bar that went to the racks. Process the cut bars with an electric planer to slightly round the edges. Attach these bars to the posts at a distance of 20-30 cm from each other. Screw the first bar at a distance of 20-30 cm from the ground. Prepare an extreme ascent to the house. To do this, make the same tray as for the ramp, but set at an angle of no more than 20 degrees with respect to the uprights. Tie the posts at the level of the ceiling of the house with a board 50 mm thick. From the side of the extreme entrance, reinforce the strapping with steel corners. Cut and lay the plywood on the floor, then hem the plywood on the ceiling. Sheathe the house with plywood on the outside, making round or oval entrances. Determine the size of the entrances / exits yourself so that the child is comfortable. To make the roof, cut 4 rafters from a 25mm board. The angles of the rafters are determined based on the height of the roof. Attach the rafters to the corners of the frame and connect them together from above using metal corners. cut plywood into pieces required size and sew up the roof.
